Senior Project Manager

SpryPoint is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise SaaS-based software implementations for the utilities industry. The successful candidate will work with customers and internal teams to deliver quality projects, manage project schedules, and prioritize work effort across multiple teams. They will also be responsible for developing realistic project schedules, managing resources, and negotiating with customers on modification and compromises to project scope or deliverables. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree in project management or business administration, at least three years of experience in enterprise project management, and familiarity with Agile methodologies and SaaS implementations. The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Applying SpryPoint's hybrid implementation methodology to our enterprise projects
- Developing realistic, manageable project schedules, and ensuring they are up to date and accurate with appropriate task assignments and effort
- In coordination with other Project Managers, prioritizing work effort across our Professional Services and Development teams to more clearly define project timelines and ensure balanced workloads
- Maintain detailed and accurate project documents per the SOW and our implementation methodology
- Proven financial acumen experience gained by managing projects
- Experience negotiating resources and deliverables within a matrix organization
- Experience negotiating with customers on modification and compromises to project scope or deliverables based on project schedule, contingencies and predefined acceptance criteria
- Using keen attention to detail to support the delivery of professional project documentation to our clients
- Develop engaging relationships with our clients and our internal team at all departments and strata of the organization
- Proven ability to understand and explain the impact of project discussions to both customers and internal stakeholders
- Assist with gap analysis and discovery workshops
- Review and understand all contractual and SOW requirements are being met and delivered successfully
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Post Secondary degree or diploma, preferably in project management or business administration
- Minimum three years experience related experience in enterprise project management
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SaaS implementations
- Currently holds and/or are pursuing a PMP, CAPM or comparable project management designation would be considered an asset.
- Experience or familiarity with the utilities industry would be an asset
- General familiarity or experience working with Management Information Systems such as Customer Information Systems (CIS), Work Orders & Asset Management (WAMS), Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are a bonus.
Technical Skills
- Fluent with productivity tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office and others.
- Experience with web-based Portfolio/ProjectProduct Management tools
- Both traditional and agile project management methodology training
- Experience with SaaS-based product implementations would be an asset

- Strong written/documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Resourcefulness and an ability to develop a deep understanding of utility industries - electric, water, wastewater, gas, telecommunications, sanitation, and others.
