Blanc Labs is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their team. As a key member, you will work closely with development and product teams to ensure software quality and reliability. You will develop and execute test plans, automate testing processes, and identify issues to deliver a seamless user experience. With expertise in PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, AWS, and test framework development, you will play a crucial role in achieving quality goals. Your responsibilities include developing and executing detailed test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing automated test scripts, and mentoring junior QA team members. To be successful, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 4+ years of work experience, proven experience as a QA Engineer, and strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, AWS, and test automation tools. You will work remotely and receive flexible work arrangements, including $4,000/year travel stipends and equity in the company.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and identify potential areas for testing.
- Design and implement automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Perform regression testing, load testing, and security testing as necessary.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Provide accurate and timely test status reports and communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to quality assurance and testing.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 4+ years of work experience.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on PHP, Laravel, AWS, and test framework development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript for testing web applications.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-based testing environments.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Cypress, PHPUnit, JEST, Codeception).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to k independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) a plus.
