Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Product Engineering Team and ensure the quality of our web services and applications through both manual and automated testing.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans, adding test-related documentation, as well as building and improving our automation test suite using Cypress. As part of a cross-functional scrum squad you will work closely with other QA engineers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify defects, improve processes, and ensure high-quality features and seamless user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Document and execute manual test cases for web applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance
- Develop and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Cypress to improve test coverage and efficiency
- Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to refine the requirements, define acceptance criteria and improve test strategies
- Continuously enhance automation frameworks and CI/CD integration to streamline testing processes
- Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing as needed
- Assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolving production issues
- Stay updated with industry best practices and tools to improve testing methodologies
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software Quality Assurance, with a strong background in manual and automation testing
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in test planning and execution
- Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and ability to write test scripts
- Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright or other end-to-end tests frameworks for writing and executing automated end-to-end tests
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment processes
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Very good communication skills and ability to document test cases and results effectively
- Good verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BDD and proficiency in Gherkin syntax for writing test scenarios
- Experience with TestOps practices and test reporting tools like Allure
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, or similar
