About the team

Postman is looking for a Partner Engineer to join our Publisher Success team within the Postman API Network. The Postman API Network is the world’s largest repository of APIs, serving developers from companies like AWS, Salesforce, Stripe, Zoom, Discord, and many more. Our goal is to empower publishers to launch, distribute, and grow their APIs on the network while providing developers with the best-in-class experience for discovering and working with APIs.

As a Partner Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with publishers to implement technical solutions, create powerful developer experiences, and accelerate API adoption on the network. Working cross-functionally with internal teams and key partners, you will help optimize publisher workflows, design API integrations, and provide strategic technical guidance.

This is a hybrid remote/in-person role based in the US. Join us as we shape the future of API publishing!

What you’ll be doing

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for key publishers on the Postman API Network, providing hands-on support and guidance to help them succeed.
  • Lead technical onboardings and architectural reviews to ensure that publishers’ API integrations and public workspaces are optimized for performance, scalability, and developer experience.
  • Scale onboarding and enablement efforts for new and existing publishers by creating detailed technical guides, tutorials, and example collections that demonstrate best practices and advanced features.
  • Collaborate with Product, DevRel, and Success teams to provide proactive technical solutions, integrate new platform features, and improve publishers' workflows.
  • Partner with publishers to co-design and implement API use cases, automation solutions, and demo experiences that drive growth and engagement.
  • Advocate for publishers by capturing technical requirements and collaborating with internal teams to shape product roadmaps and build impactful features.
  • Track and analyze key metrics, using data-driven insights to identify and address technical challenges, improve API performance, and enhance the overall publisher experience.
  • Evangelize the Network’s technical offerings, showcasing the power of new features like Flows and automation tooling during Quarterly Workspace Reviews and Publisher Connect Meetups.

About you

  • Have 5+ years of experience in a Partner Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Account Management role in a B2B SaaS or API-focused company.
  • Possess strong technical expertise in API design, integrations, and best practices, with a solid understanding of RESTful and async APIs, SDKs, and webhooks.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills and a knack for identifying the root causes of technical issues and crafting scalable solutions.
  • Have a track record of collaborating cross-functionally to drive customer success and shape product features based on customer feedback.
  • Excel at communication, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Are proactive, resourceful, and passionate about creating outstanding developer experiences.
  • Are eager to work in a fast-paced environment, helping to scale a rapidly growing platform and establish a world-class technical support framework.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $180,000 to 240,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
