The candidate should have experience in VAT/GST, US GAAP/IFRS accounting, and transfer pricing. They will report to the Global Compliance and Reporting Tax Manager.

Our Tax team partners with business and Executive leadership to develop, monitor and scale our global tax strategy. We are working through significant changes in the world of global tax and this role will have a direct impact to shape how we continue to scale as a business and support that growth as a Tax team.
THE TEAM
The Tax team works cross-functionally with Executive leaders and frontline managers across Eventbrite to provide support for global business initiatives. As an action-oriented and practical team, we give structure to complicated issues by thinking creatively to find solutions while always ensuring compliance and mitigating risk across different jurisdictions worldwide. Our team is growing and we’re looking for an exceptional Tax Senior Analyst to represent Tax outside the U.S.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated Tax Senior Analyst to join our growing tax team. In your role as the Tax Senior Analyst, you will have the opportunity to focus on a variety of dynamic direct and indirect global tax issues, as well as, assist in continuing to scale our tax compliance and accounting processes. This role will support global tax audits, tax accounting and compliance and other ad hoc planning projects just to name a few things! The Tax Senior Analyst will play a key role in our global tax function and will be the first point of contact for all tax projects outside the U.S., partnering closely with the U.S. HQ team. The Tax Senior Analyst will report directly to Eventbrite’s Global Compliance and Reporting Tax Manager.
YOU WILL
Interface with multifunctional teams within the company as well as external tax advisors to support tax strategies
Manage interactions with tax agencies outside the U.S.
Manage direct and indirect tax compliance outside the U.S.
Monitor tax legislation and determine the impact to Eventbrite
Support global tax planning efforts
Manage external tax audits with support of HQ tax colleagues and external tax advisors
Assist with transfer pricing matters including maintaining global transfer pricing policies and supporting the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation
Build, maintain, improve and automate tax-related processes
Support monthly and quarterly close processes by preparing workpapers, tax journal entries, and reconciling tax general ledger accounts for non-US entities
Manage the interim and annual tax provision process under US GAAP and IFRS/local GAAP for non-US entities
Be first point of contact for all related VAT audits/compliance, working with the local finance teams and external tax advisors

Strong understanding of accounting concepts
VAT/GST experience required
Experience in US GAAP and IFRS tax accounting principles, including preparation and review of provision workpapers
A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant tax experience, with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or Finance required
CPA/Chartered Accountant, Master’s degree or equivalent in Taxation or Accounting, or Law Degree preferred
Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
