Position Overview
We're seeking a talented Senior Designer/ Art Director to join our creative team and help shape our brand's visual identity across all touch points. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with marketing, communications, and other teams to create compelling visual solutions that elevate our brand and engage our audiences.
About the role
As Senior Designer/ Art Director, you'll create and maintain visual design systems that bring our brand to life across digital marketing, corporate and product communications, and print collateral. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Creative, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to translate their needs into visually striking solutions that achieve business objectives while acting as the brand guardian. We're looking for someone highly self-motivated who can push creative boundaries and refine our visual language. You should stay current with design trends in both B2B and B2C tech industries, as well as broader graphic design trends, understanding how these can inform our creative approach across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead visual design direction for marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, product launches, and corporate communications
Create mood boards and execute creative and strategic direction for marketing and branding initiatives, translating concepts into final design assets
Create, maintain, and evolve comprehensive brand design systems, including typography, color palettes, illustration, and photography
Design engaging marketing materials across digital advertising, social media, email templates, and presentation decks
Develop visual concepts and brand marks for site experiences, events, trade shows, and promotional materials
Collaborate with the content team to create graphics and data visualizations that communicate complex information effectively
Mentor junior designers and provide direction to maintain consistent quality and brand standards
Partner with external vendors and agencies to ensure brand consistency across all materials
Stay current with design trends and tools, translating these into our communications and design
Support retouching and post-production needs
Required Qualifications
Ideally 10+ years of professional visual design experience
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with motion design knowledge a plus
Strong understanding of design principles and best practices across digital, UI/UX, and print
Exceptional typography skills with meticulous attention to detail
Experience with digital design tools such as Figma or Sketch
Proven track record in creating successful visual design systems and brand guidelines
Outstanding portfolio demonstrating versatility in style and medium
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
Excellent communication and presentation skills

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
