As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you'll design and build solutions for high availability, performance, and reliability. You'll work on integrating third-party services like Kafka, Redis, and OpenSearch, ensuring fault tolerance and disaster recovery capabilities. With 2+ years of experience in building distributed systems on public clouds (AWS, GCP), you'll participate in design and implementation phases with application development teams. Job Description
Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of third-party services such as Kafka, Redis, OpenSearch, focusing on ensuring high availability, resilience and performance
- Participate in design and implementation phases with application development teams to identify and implement best solutions available
- Promote and ensure the responsible, cost-efficient utilization of services
- Drive product maturity through monitoring, proactive alerting, capacity management and auto-healing
- Contribute back to the community with features, improvements and fixes
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience building distributed systems on a public cloud (AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform or other similar tools
- Experience with running OSS distributed software (e.g. ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Kafka, Mongo) in public cloud environments on Kubernetes
- Experience designing and architecting complex, large-scale, mission-critical products that drive significant business impact
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
