Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and proactive Community Manager based in Mexico to take charge of our brand's social media accounts for the Mexican audience. This role involves not just managing day-to-day content, but also fostering a thriving online community that aligns with Everand's mission. You will work closely with our local team in Mexico to understand the cultural nuances and preferences of the audience, while also collaborating with our US-based team to ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment.
Location: Must be based in Mexico
Hours: 20-35 hours a week
Pay: $10-$20 USD per hour
This is a part-time, contract position ideal for someone with a strong understanding of social media trends, community building, and a passion for storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Everand’s social accounts targeting the Mexican market starting with Instagram.
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking content strategy that aligns with Everand's global brand voice and business objectives, driving measurable impact on user engagement and growth.
- Ideate and schedule posts featuring dynamic visuals and compelling, culturally relevant copy.
- Respond to comments, messages, and interactions promptly to build meaningful relationships with our audience.
- Monitor community feedback, flag emerging trends, and share insights with the local and US teams for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the local team to align content and strategies with the preferences of the Mexican audience.
- Coordinate with the US marketing and communications team to maintain consistency with Everand’s global branding voice and objectives.
- Stay updated on the latest social media and industry trends to ensure our strategy remains fresh and engaging.
- Generate monthly reports on account performance, audience engagement, and growth metrics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management, with a track record of growing and engaging online communities (Instagram focus preferred).Exceptional copywriting skills, with the ability to create impactful, audience-specific messaging.
- A deep appreciation for literature and storytelling, with the ability to authentically connect with book lovers, content creators and writers across various genres and platforms.
- Demonstrated success in managing, growing, and maintaining the online presence of global or tech brands with a portfolio of campaigns that showcase creativity and measurable impact.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, ideally with insights into Mexican cultural and language nuances.
- Creative mindset with an eye for visuals and an ability to manage effective content calendars.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a part-time role.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, connecting with teams in multiple locations (Mexico and the US).
- Proficiency in Spanish (native-level fluency) and English (professional level) for seamless communication and collaboration.
