Job Summary

Eventbrite is seeking an Engineer to join their team in developing innovative ad platforms. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience building software applications with a focus on high-level languages like Python, Java, or Kotlin. With a salary range of $91k-$164k per year, this role offers the opportunity to impact Eventbrite's platform and organization at scale.

Last year alone, our platform processed over 150 million tickets across over 3 million events organized by our creators. Our perfect candidate will leverage their years of experience innovating within our consumer facing ads product creating value for both our event creators and consumers.

THE ROLE

Eventbrite Ads is taking off! We're expanding our team to accelerate the development of our innovative in-house ad platform. THE TECH STACK

We heavily leverage AWS technology to get the job done. On any given day you will be working with Lambdas, ECS and Fargate, Serverless Aurora, API Gateway, Terraform, Docker, Kinesis, and much more! We are committed to scalability through serverless applications where it makes sense.

THE SKILLSET

  • 2+ years experience building software applications

  • Experience with high-level languages, specifically Python, Java, or Kotlin

  • Experience with MySQL, Aurora, or other RDBMS

  • You are data-driven and know how to find the data you need to support your ideas

  • You care about making sure your code is maintainable and well tested

  • You are a pragmatic programmer that understands how to balance quality, time to ship, and cost

  • You are solution oriented constantly driving towards better outcomes for your customers

  • You are familiar with CI/CD tools and processes

  • You have a holistic approach to quality

BONUS POINTS FOR

  • Experience building in the backend of an ad platform

  • Experience building the backend in a reporting platform

  • Experience with Timestream, Elasticsearch, or Snowflake

  • Experience with event-driven architecture

  • You have experience with ML at scale

  • You have experience designing and developing Web APIs

  • You have experience with Terraform or the AWS CDK

  • You have experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (e.g., ECS/Fargate, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda).
