The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in Infrastructure/Cloud/Backend engineering, with expertise in AWS or other cloud providers. They should also possess strong programming, system design, and scripting skills, as well as experience with database management, infrastructure as a code, and application/network security. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the company's AWS infrastructure, overseeing critical databases, developing and maintaining infrastructure services, and conducting security reviews. The Infrastructure Team:
The Infrastructure team is designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable infrastructure foundation that supports the operation of our applications and services while working in tandem with the DevOps engineering team. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability, security, and performance of our cloud-based systems and strives to architect and optimize the network, storage, and server infrastructure, leveraging the latest AWS technologies and best practices. The goal is to empower the DevOps team to rapidly develop and deploy innovative software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability in the cloud environment.

StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in North America for this position.
What you'll be doing:
- Enhance our AWS infrastructure with the latest best practices
- Oversee and manage critical databases leverage by other engineering teams
- Develop and maintain infrastructure services used by other engineers to manage, deploy and scale infrastructure
- Setup tools and automation for infrastructure as code, intrusion/malware detection, business continuity, and disaster/recovery planning
- Conduct security reviews for new projects, technologies, and services
- Create infrastructure and security guidance, procedures, and documentation
We'll be reaching out to candidates that have:
- At least 3 years experience in Infrastructure/Cloud/Backend engineering
- At least 3 years experience with AWS, or other Cloud provider
- Strong programming, system design and scripting skills
- Experience with Database management is an asset
- Deep understanding of infrastructure as a code and application/network security
- Experience setting up complex AWS environments with Terraform
- Experience with as many of our existing technologies is a large plus: Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Packer, Vagrant, Boundary, Consul, Waypoint, Redis, Aerospike, Go, ScyllaDB, Elasticsearch, RDS, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, Envoy, Nginx
