The role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely software delivery, improve processes, manage risks, and resolve dependencies. Key responsibilities include coordinating releases, facilitating communications, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate has experience in software release management and Agile methodologies.
We’re a growing team, and as we scale, so does our need to focus on expanding our engineering team. You’ll be joining a people-focused company, and as a Software Release Program Manager, you will oversee planning, scheduling, communication, and coordination of our industry-leading SaaS platforms and applications. You will be pivotal in ensuring the timely delivery of software to our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage expectations, measure results, and improve processes.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Plan and coordinate releases to established timelines across multiple product teams
Organize and facilitate structured communications throughout the release lifecycle
Continuously improve release processes based on lessons learned and best practices
Ensure the definition of done is clearly published and tracked
Drive communication and treatment of risks
Identify and drive resolution of dependencies across separate products
Other duties as assigned.
THE SKILL SET
Prefer a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, business, Management Information Systems or related field
2+ years of experience in software release management, and 5+ years of total experience in software development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build trusted partnerships with executives and product teams
Strong working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and software quality attributes
Experience with Agile methodologies
Knowledge of Project Management Software Tools such as Jira
Travel requirement is up to 10%
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Desirable certifications include those from PMI, Scaled Agile, Scrum Alliance, and/or ITIL
