As an Sr AWS Sales Engineer at Rackspace Technology, you will provide a fanatical experience to customers and drive cloud adoption in the state government of California. You will partner with sales teams, clients, and industry leaders to deliver technical excellence and apply critical missions to their needs. With strong AWS skills and excellent writing and speaking abilities, you will work on public cloud and opportunistic private cloud solutions. The role offers a competitive salary range of $148,400-$261,030, flexible remote work options, and variable compensation based on performance. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with our AWS Sales Representative to sell AWS specifically to the state government of California.
- Gather customer requirements.
- Teach the value of AWS and Rackspace.
- Provide critical missions to state agency and apply technical solutions to their needs.
- Drive business and document Solutions.
- Simultaneously be focused on public cloud and opportunistic on private cloud.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years of front facing technical customer resource. For example solution architecture.
- Minimum of four years working with state agencies.
- Ability to excel in a fast paced highly competitive environment.
- Ability to be flexible not have tunnel vision… ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
- Strong AWS skills.
- Strong writing and speaking skills with the English language.
