We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing Enterprise Financial Management Team. This role will be responsible for analyzing revenue transactions, reconciling accounts, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring the integrity of revenue-related financial data. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, this position will work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Sales Operations, and external auditors to maintain strong revenue accounting processes in a fast-growing tech environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenue and related expenses

  • Conduct variance analysis and reporting on revenue trends and discrepancies for both the Enterprise and Manage Services products

  • Support the month end close for various functions; including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis for revenue-related accounts, including deferred revenue and accounts receivable

  • Partner with external auditors by providing documentation, explanations, and support for SOX compliance and audit requests

  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to analyze bad debt reserves, prepare related journal entries, and ensure proper accounting treatment of doubtful accounts.

  • Partner with FP&A and other business partners to record, reconcile and maintain accrual balances and monthly forecast vs actual analysis

  • Identify process improvements and internal control enhancements related to revenue accounting

  • Help with implementations, report maintenance, close efficiency, audit readiness and ad-hoc projects

What it takes to catch our eye:

Marketplace or technology industry experience

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

4+ years of experience in revenue accounting or public accounting (Big 4 preferred)

CPA certification (or progress toward CPA) is highly preferred

Experience in a Public Company and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance

Solid knowledge of accounting policies/procedures and financial statements

Ability to resolve problems where analysis requires the in-depth evaluation of various factors
