With a growing client base, we are hiring a Testing Manager to be part of our Testing Team and play an integral role in our client’s journey with Testlio. A Testing Manager is responsible for the success of our testing delivery, taking care of the important activities of clients’ testing projects, including test scope planning, test run management, and results reporting. You will work closely with clients, the Testers, Test Leads, other Testing Managers, Testing Delivery, and our Engagement Managers to ensure that testing is executed with the Testlio stamp of quality.

Why you will love this job?

  • Channel your passion for software testing and be integral in helping our clients build amazing app experiences for users and for some of the most exciting companies in the world.
  • You get to manage Testing for multiple hot-trend mobile and web applications from different industry verticals (Healthcare, E-commerce, Retail, Finance, Media, etc.)
  • Be the trusted go-to testing expert for your clients.
  • Chance to work in a fast-paced environment with a thriving business model, an experienced leadership team, and a top-tier client roster.
  • Collaborate with strongly motivated and experienced co-workers from diverse backgrounds and locations.
  • Opportunity to work flexibly in a distributed by-design company, be a part of our global culture, and contribute to the TestLion Pride.

Why you will love being a part of Testlio

  • A true sense of belonging: the TestLion Pride is a global community of like-minded people who live Testlio’s six values every day.
  • Freedom to roam: Testlio is a global company that embraces flexibility while setting standards to help you succeed in a remote environment by having clear expectations for working hours and communication. We honor national holidays in your home nation and provide a generous number of days off, including personal wellness days. You can do all this while creating opportunities for Testlio's freelance network and supporting social impact programs like Ignite.
  • Proven client results: Testlio’s people + software solutions expand testing coverage, improve release velocity, and contain quality assurance costs. Our unique approach (“fused software testing”) merges automated + manual testing, on-demand + dedicated resources, and quality + operations systems to unlock new levels of quality engineering value.
  • Great culture: Testlio’s is female-founded, and 46% of the population is women. Our purpose, vision, and values help drive positive mindsets and behaviors—people like working with each other and love the company's global scale. We move fast and empower people on the frontlines to make decisions and own initiatives.
  • Investment in you: Testlio is a global company, and we’ve created a few benefits that are available regardless of location. In addition to paid time off, you can be reimbursed up to $300/yr for learning. You will also receive stock options and an equipment policy, with Testlio contributing to the bulk of the cost with regular equipment update intervals.

What would your day look like?

  • Working hand in hand with relevant client stakeholders to align and execute successful testing strategies, ensuring tight process integration and exceptional results.
  • Be involved in daily scrum calls, sprint meetings, and release calls/meetings.
  • Speak confidently about holistic testing strategies, including manual and automation testing flows.
  • Ensuring the quality of a Test Run by following recommended approaches established within Testlio and accounting for client-side expectations.
  • Defining the testing strategy for a single Run as well as for the project as a whole for the foreseeable future.
  • Leading and coordinating Test Runs – identifying relevant scope, estimating needed work task efforts, verifying the testing environment, preparing relevant test plans/mindmaps/materials/guides and tools, building a team from our network of Test Leads and Testers following the unique criteria for the project, triaging reported issues, supporting testers, providing feedback and compiling meaningful end reports.
  • Raising project and team-related risks, problems, and questions to the relevant stakeholders and taking the initiative to solve them.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback to test plans and tests created by other testing managers.
  • Identifying and solving technical challenges related to testing, such as simulating geographical locations, using network traffic monitoring tools, and so forth.
  • Proactively defining priorities based on the work backlog.
  • Understanding and working within the boundaries of the project’s success and financial metrics, such as margin, target utilization, NPS, and more.
  • Monitoring project quality KPIs and taking appropriate actions to improve them.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience managing both manual and automated testing.
  • Passion, curiosity, and focused interest in the field of software testing.
  • Proven track record of strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Good comprehension of test automation principles and application strategies, along with manual testing and excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies and procedures.
  • Exceptional ability to negotiate stakeholder requirements and manage project demands.
  • Experience with Web test development. Having Android and/or iOS native mobile test development is a plus.
  • Experience in Test Automation with a strong grasp of the feasibility of implementing automation solutions and the ability to articulate the strategic advantages of automated testing over manual methods. Practical experience with tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Playwright is a plus.

  • Strong time management, task delegation, and prioritization capabilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional learning in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, and technology domains.

Human skills

  • Someone who likes flexibility in their work hours and wants to work remotely.
  • Confident in communicating openly and transparently with the client when necessary.
