Job Summary

We are seeking a Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team at KOHO. This remote role will support strategic projects and capital raise initiatives, working closely with senior leadership. Key responsibilities include developing financial models, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, assisting in banking license applications, and contributing to equity/debt capital raising efforts. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in finance, preferably with a professional designation like CPA or CFA. Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential. We offer a competitive salary range of $185k-$230k per year.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team. This role will be based remotely anywhere in Canada. 

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance, you will be a part of the financial heartbeat of KOHO.

The Strategic Finance Associate will be instrumental in supporting strategic projects and capital raise initiatives to shape KOHO’s future. If you enjoy solving complex financial challenges that do not have well-defined solutions in a high-growth environment, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • You will own, develop and enhance KOHO’s financial models

  • You will support KOHO’s annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working with teams across the company to shape the roadmap to ensure KOHO is meeting its financial goals

  • You will support the Head of Banking in all analytics and materials preparation related to KOHO’s banking license application and ICAAP

  • You will support the Director of Strategic Finance, CFO, and CEO in all aspects of equity and debt capital raising, corporate valuation, and investor relations

  • You will support special projects, including investment analysis, business partnership evaluations, key contracts, and long-term financial planning

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance, with emphasis on financial modeling, investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity

  • Professional designation preferred (e.g., CPA, CFA)

  • A self-starter who owns their work, commits themselves to greatness everyday, and proactively seeks to improve the status quo

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic business 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior level stakeholders

  • Ability to make recommendations with the big picture in mind, while executing analytics and reporting with a high degree of detail and accuracy

  • Database (SQL), VBA, or other programming knowledge is highly desirable
