About the job

We are seeking a Talent Analytics Specialist to support data-driven decision-making across our Talent Management, Talent Development, Organizational Effectiveness, and DEI teams. This role will be responsible for aggregating and analyzing data from multiple systems, including Eightfold and Workday, to generate insights that improve our talent programs. The ideal candidate has experience working with SQL or Python, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

This role will partner closely with the People Analytics team, which maintains our data lake in Snowflake, ensuring seamless integration of talent data into broader workforce analytics. Additionally, this individual will contribute to quarterly business reviews (QBRs), helping to assess the effectiveness of our programs and identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Aggregate and analyze talent data to measure the effectiveness of talent programs, providing actionable insights for decision-making.

  • Workforce Planning Support: Prepare data, generate insights, and identify trends to support workforce planning efforts.

  • Skills Gap Analysis: Conduct skill gap assessments to inform learning and development strategies.

  • Reporting & Visualization: Develop and present reports on talent metrics, program outcomes, and business impact to key stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR leaders and business stakeholders to translate data insights into recommendations.

  • Process Improvement: Work with internal teams to identify opportunities for improved data processes, reporting automation, and better program outcomes.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within HR, talent management, or people analytics.

  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for querying and analyzing data.

  • Experience working with HR systems (Workday, Eightfold, or similar) to extract and analyze data.

  • Strong ability to synthesize data into clear, compelling insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with workforce analytics concepts, including talent trends, retention, and skills analysis.

  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across multiple stakeholders.

Desired:

  • Experience building reports and dashboards using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

  • Experience working with data in Snowflake or a similar data lake environment.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting, or predictive modeling techniques.

  • Background in HR analytics, workforce planning, or organizational effectiveness.
