Binance is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to provide timely technical accounting guidance and advice to various business and finance stakeholders. The role involves developing and maintaining full suites of IFRS-compliant accounting policies, coordinating audit-readiness activities, and overseeing the preparation and distribution of financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of relevant experience in Big 4 public accounting or audit, with advanced knowledge and expertise in technical accounting. Fluency in English is required, as well as proficiency in leading teams and organizing global conformity and reporting efforts. Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide timely technical accounting guidance and advice to various business and finance stakeholders for industry leading digital asset exchange and blockchain infrastructures provider
- Develop and maintain full suite of IFRS-compliant accounting policies and carrying out research on complex accounting matters to ensure accurate and transparent external reporting
- Coordinate audit-readiness activities and organise external audit procedures in order to resolve critical accounting issues surrounding digital assets and other emerging fintech products
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of all financial statements for external use, and ensure that reports and documentation are complied with regulations and professional standards.
- Lead the Company’s implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements and continuously monitor industry developments and peer practice in relation to digital asset reporting
- Provide training to wider finance teams and business stakeholders on various topics
- Draft technical accounting memos and communicate directly with advisors and external auditors to facilitate discussions on challenging accounting issues
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience, and Big 4 public accounting / audit experience is preferred
- Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant is required
- Possess advanced knowledge and expertise in technical accounting and evaluation skills
- Fluency in English is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders
- Proficiency in leading teams and organizing global conformity and reporting efforts
- Independent and comfortable in a high growth company where structure, procedures and policies are in development
- Adapt to a face paced continuous learning environment and show a willingness to take on additional responsibility, where required
- A strong desire to learn about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and stay informed about industry developments and trends
