Welocalize is seeking an experienced UX Designer to join their growing technology team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive digital experiences for customers and internal/external workers. They will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design user-centered interfaces, conduct user research, and gather feedback to inform design decisions. With a strong portfolio showcasing complex workflows and task-based interfaces, the UX Designer will contribute to the evolution of Welocalize's design system and guidelines. The role offers opportunities for growth and exploration in emerging design patterns influenced by language models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and generative AI technologies. As an individual contributor, they will make a significant impact on Welocalize's products and shape the future of UX design efforts. With 5-7 years of professional experience in UX/UI design for web and mobile applications, the candidate will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing design tools such as Sketch, Figma, inVision, Adobe XD, or similar. The role also offers flexibility with remote work options and opportunities for growth and exploration in emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand user needs, business objectives, and project requirements.
- Design and iterate on user interface for our technology tools, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design patterns, and apply them to enhance the user experience.
- Conduct user research, and usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and improvements.
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide guidance throughout the development process.
- Maintain design consistency and contribute to the evolution of our design system and guidelines.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in how UX design is influenced by advancements in language models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and generative AI technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in UX/UI design for web and mobile applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, including complex workflows and task-based interfaces.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, inVision, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience with user-centered design methodologies and usability principles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines is a plus.
- Experience in managing or mentoring junior designers is desirable.
- Demonstrated interest in exploring and understanding the impact of language models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and generative AI on UX design.
