Description
FreedX, an exciting start-up cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking a skilled and proactive Operation Risk Manager (ORM) with a hands-on mentality to support the comprehensive risk management strategy of our rapidly growing platform. The ORM will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks that could impact our business processes and overall performance. This role requires a strong understanding of operational risk management in the cryptocurrency market, the ability to implement effective risk control measures, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle challenges head-on in a dynamic start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Risk Framework: Develop and maintain an operational risk management framework aligned with the company’s overall risk strategy.
- Risk Identification: Conduct regular operational risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in business processes.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with various departments to implement risk mitigation strategies and improve operational efficiency.
- Business Continuity: Assist in developing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Incident Management: Monitor and manage operational risk incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present operational risk reports to the CRO and other stakeholders.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver operational risk training programs to promote a risk-aware culture.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operational risk management practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably in the cryptocurrency or financial services industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CORM, CRISC) are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to operational risk in the crypto industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
