The Product Marketing team at MyFitnessPal collaborates with all business units to help drive our business forward and help our users achieve their goals. The role of Product Marketing is to deeply understand our consumer’s needs and to use these insights to help inform our product strategy, craft our positioning and messaging, and develop go-to-market strategies. 

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of consumer behavior and a proven track record of bringing products to market in creative ways. They should have proven experience with executing cross-channel consumer GTM strategies that deliver results, working cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, UX Research and the broader Marketing & Creative teams. We’re a small team, so experience developing both GTM and creative briefs, and working directly with creative teams providing brand level feedback is a plus.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and experiments, including positioning, messaging, and channels.

  • Partner with UX research to uncover audience insights for effective messaging and GTM strategies.

  • Support market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and customer needs.

  • Contribute to strategic marketing campaigns from planning to execution.

  • Work with product, marketing and analytics to measure the impact of campaigns and optimize results. 

  • Partner with Product to help inform the roadmap with marketing insights.

  • Support efforts to elevate the brand across key touchpoints in partnership with Product, Marketing, and Design teams.

  • Bring creativity and fresh ideas to help grow the brand and business.

  • This role reports to the VP of Product Marketing.

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 2-4 years of experience in product marketing

  • Previous experience in a B2C consumer tech company, preferably with an app

  • Strong communication skills, especially with writing clear GTM strategies & briefs

  • Experience working in an iterative, testing-oriented culture

  • Ability to analyze data and turn insights into strategic marketing actions

  • Ability to package smaller AB tests together into meaningful stories

  • Results-oriented with experience contributing to marketing strategies and campaigns

  • Familiarity with conducting qualitative and quantitative research

  • Positive, proactive attitude with a collaborative mindset

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $78,000 - $117,000. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, MyFitnessPal offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, parental planning, mental health benefits, annual performance bonus, a 401(k) plan and match, responsible time off, monthly wellness and technology allowances, and others.
