As a Professional Services Engineer at GitLab, you will engage with customers to provide installation, migration, training, and advisory services. You'll work on projects ranging from single-node installations to large-scale reference architectures using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible. Additionally, you'll migrate systems to GitLab SaaS or self-hosted solutions and offer technical advice across the entire GitLab feature stack. Collaborating with both customers and internal teams, you'll drive customer success and contribute to improving GitLab's features and processes. The role requires proficiency in English for remote communication, experience with GitLab, and fluency in French. You'll also have opportunities to travel up to 20% of the time.
Professional Services Engineers engage with customers to provide installation, migration, training, and advisory services. They handle installations ranging from single-node Omnibus installs, to our largest reference architectures utilizing IaC/CaC, migrations from multiple systems to GitLab SaaS or self-hosted, and advisory services across the entire GitLab feature stack.
Professional Services Engineers are expected to be able to interface not only with the customer, but with our GitLab Product/Engineering teams, to find the best route for customer success, and to help drive improvements into GitLab features and processes.

Installation and configuration of GitLab solutions in the customer environment

Develop and implement migration plans for customer VCS & data migration
